About The Run for a Million
Every August, the best riders and baddest horses on the planet roll into Las Vegas for one reason: to chase a million-dollar prize and earn their place in western history. The Run For A Million isn’t just a show. It’s the proving ground for grit, guts, and raw horsemanship.
Hosted at the legendary South Point Arena, this week-long event has become the crown jewel of western equine sports. Sixteen top-tier reiners will lay it all on the line for a shot at a million-dollar purse in the headline competition. But that’s just the start.
The arena dirt will fly in a full slate of challenges: Cow Horse, Cutting Horse, Youth Reining, Working Cow Horse, Rookie Level 1 & 2, Non Pro & Amateur, the Open Shoot Out, and the Cowboy Heritage Ranch Challenge. Each one is a showdown built to honor tradition, test talent, and spotlight the kind of horses and riders who do things the hard way — because it’s the right way.
